1994 BMW 318i - Make Me An Offer!!
Up for sale today is my daily driver which is a '94 BMW 318i. I am only selling because I need the money to help out a family member that lost their job. This car is a great car and has not given me any problems since I have had it. It has a 4cyl. engine which is currently getting 29 mpg on the highway and 27 local driving. The car has 250,220 miles, but please do not let that scare you away. It runs great. The car is an automatic with power windows, mirrors, door locks (with key), and power sunroof, cruise control, leather, air conditioning, and heated seats. The car is just a cool little car to drive. I purchased it when gas was 4.00 a gallon because my other vehicle is a Jeep Wrangler which gets about 12 MPG so I bought this to drive daily to work. I have put several thousand miles on this car and the engine and transmission in the car have many many more miles left on them. I purchased the car from a used car dealer that had this car as his personal car. He told me that it had been his ex-wifes car, his daughters car, he had sold the car at one point then had taken it back in on trade and the car had been with him for about 7 years off and on. He told me that the transmission had been rebuilt at approx. 186,000 miles but I have no documentation to prove that so maybe it was just a used car dealer telling me that to sell me a car, but I will tell you this thing starts, runs, and shifts like a dream. The body has a few dings here and there, but I could not get them to show up on the pictures. They are just normal door dings and such that should be expected for a car that is 15 years old. The drivers seat has a couple of cracks on the leather, but overall the seats are in fantastic shape. I would recommend getting new struts on it eventually, but it is not something that is needed right away. It handles fine and there is not any vibration at high speeds or anything like that.
Since I have had it I have put a brand new front bumper, new angel eyes headlights, new BMW emblem on the hood to replace the old faded one, new BMW M3 floor mats, replaced the driver side door panel speaker, installed new chrome BMW tire valve caps, installed new Altezza tail lights, and more I am sure that I am forgetting. This is the perfect car for someone who is wanting a great stylish BMW without paying tens of thousands of dollars for it. There are a few very minor issues with the car that you should be aware of and I will list them here. If you have any questions about any of them then feel free to reach out to me.
1. The drivers side power mirror is not working. I removed the door panel to replace the speaker and one of the wires came loose. I did not know exactly how to reattach it so I left it. The passenger power mirror still works fine and I am sure that it is an easy fix for the drivers mirror, but I did not know how to do it.
2. The display on the stereo is very faint. If light is actually shining on the stereo you can read it perfectly, but at night or if light is not shining on it then it is very hard to read.
3. I cannot figure out how to change the time on the clock. Since daylight savings time it has been 1 hour fast because I cannot figure out how to change the time. The computer keeps time fine, keeps the temperature fine, allows you to change between time and date as well as between F and C for the temperature, but I cannot change the time. It could be broken or I could just be an idiot...
4. The outside driver door handle is broken. It still opens from the inside and all of the other doors work fine, but this one is broken. A replacement is going for 50.00 - 75.00 here on Ebay. There are currently 8-10 outside door handles listed right now.
5. A piece of rear bumper trim on the passenger side came missing a few days ago. I am not sure what happened to it, but I have already ordered a new BMW OEM replacement piece of trim and I will either install it for you or if the car sells before I get the piece in the mail then I will send it to you for you to place on there.
6. On Monday the brake light just came on warning that the brake pads are beginning to wear. The brake pads have a sensor on them and once they begin to wear the light comes on. I do not think the brake pads need to be changed yet, but you have to either live with the light being on or replace the front brake pads. They are approx. 125.00 for the set of brake pads and new rotors.
As far as I know everything that the car needs is very minor and if I did not have to sell this car I wouldn't because it is a very dependable car and it looks good too! I do have the car for sell locally so I do reserve the right to end the auction if it should sell locally. I will accept certified check or cash in person for payment within 7 days of the end of the auction. I can drive it to you for a fee if you live within 250-300 miles of Dallas, TX.
If you do not intend to purchase the car then please do not bid. I cannot afford to deal with deadbeat bidders. If you have any questions or if you want more pictures then please just e-mail me. Thanks and happy bidding!

#5 is repaired!... A new piece of bumper trim was installed and looks like new! E-mail me if you would like me to send you a picture of it or anything else on the car. My pictures here look a little fuzzy (not sure if it is the sun or what?!?), but you can rest assured that this is the nicest BMW for sale on Ebay under $4,000. I am not some auction house or used car dealer. I know my car and I will tell you the truth about it. An informed buyer is a happy buyer! Look at my feedback I have sold cars, trucks, boats, etc. on Ebay and I have 100% positive feedback. It is because I let you know about the GOOD and the BAD (If there is any bad). Thanks again for looking...
