1985 Mercedes Benz 190eBarely Runs - Needs Fuel injection Work
Purchased Complete Fuel Distributor assembly (used), fuel injectors (new) and injector lines (used), but have not had time to install and get this car running. Also has new battery (choice of Optima or Interstate, new plugs and new wires. Right now, it will start and run momentarily. Haven't done anything with electrical system, AC and other systems to troubleshoot, test or repair them.
I purchased the car ~ 1 year ago purportedly having 80,000 miles. Unfortunately, when the title showed up it said that mileage could not be verified and may be as high as 187,000 miles. Pulled a CarFax Report and the reported mileage went up by 100,000 in a year. Not likely. The long and sort of it is that the mileage is at least 80,000.
These cars are know to get up to 30 mpg. I have well over $1,000 into this car. Why not purchase it for far less, fix it up and start saving tomorrow? Let my loss be your gain.
